If you aren't producing enough breast milk, you can speak to a lactation consultant. She will be able to help you determine for sure how much breastmilk your baby is getting. If you do decide to use formula and breastmilk, any little breastmilk that you give your baby will give her benefits.

If I correctly converted lbs --> kg and ft/in --> m, my BMI is currently 21.57. Not bad.

Nope! Any dog food made by Purina is Crap with a capital C!

Most of grocery store dog food formulas, like IAMS, Pedigree, Science Diet, Purina,and etc contain "meat and bone meal" which has been known to contain dead dogs and cats that were euthanized in animal shelters. Their bodies are picked up and bought by the truck load by "rendering plants" , that also pick up road kill, dead live stock, and etc. They are shredded, and boiled. They skim off the fat on the top of the "soup" and collected it and sell it to pet food companies as "animal fat", the rest of the animals' remains are crushed up, dried and sold to dog and cat food companies as meat and bone meal.

Here is an article where the owner of a rendering plant talks about it. He says that cremating the dead shelter animals would cause pollution, and that rendering them is good.

After being spayed/neutered all of my cats have gotten a pooch---you need to keep your cat on food for his/her age. They are formulated with vitamins/minerals and protein based on the average energy level and needs of at cat at that age. People get fat cats when the over feed(read back of bag /box) and don't play(exercise) them. One of my cats is a twelve year old male who has always been super active & playful. I asked our vet if I should switch him to the mature food and he said no--the cat is very healthy and active don't change anything right now. I always used kitten food while they were young and my 16 year old (super lazy) gets the mature---they are all healthy and the correct weight.

Don't worry about being obsessive --worry about if you cat is getting the correct nutrients he/she needs.
