Hi, I'm 22 and overweight and please do not do that!!! That is really bad for you, protein shakes can be mail replacers so do not drink more that 2 a day, I would only say one. Here are 3 sinple rules that I have started to adopt and there's no way round these.
1). Get to grips with you're weight, dont feel sorry for you're self, think about how you want to look, then visual this, think about how good you would feel if you were as slim as you want to be

2). make a plan as to how you;re gona achieve this, write a food diary everyday, write down everything you eat/drink and review it each day, this will make you realise what you should or shouldn;t have eaten. change your food

3). Exercise, but do not eat as much as you exercise as this cancels things out, trust me I know,

Probably not. Any weight loss that is fast, is only temporary. When you lose weight quickly, it is because you lose water weight. What you should be trying to lose is fat, not water.

I recommend the following:

Make sure you eat breakfast. Skipping it only slows down your metabolism and can actually make you gain weight. You should have something good for you, like special K cereal with lowfat milk, or a banana.

Eat a fat free yogurt 15 minutes before dinner. The yogurt helps your digestive system, is good for you and helps fill you up, so you won't eat too much at dinner.

Salads are good, but don't load them up with junk. Stick to lettuce and tomatoes. Cheese is too fattening. If you want to have meat on the salad, make sure it is something like lean chicken (not crispy fried!). Also, use a fat free dressing. A lot of people think that just because they are eating a salad, it is good for them, but regular dressings can have as many calories as a cheeseburger!

Also, if you want a late night snack, choose something healthy, like salsa and low-fat tortilla chips. But only eat a serving.

The most important thing is to eat slowly. If you eat fast, you can eat too much. It takes 15 minutes for you to feel full. You could gorge yourself until you feel full, and 15 minutes later, you'll feel even worse.

Get more active. Any movement at all is burning calories.
