Diet And Nutrition

Clifton Said:

can anybody give me a nutrition diet that has been tested and tried?

We Answered:

Try any combination of fat, protein, water, fruit and whatever tickles your fancy.

The only weight loss diet that is guaranteed to work is one where exertion exceeds calorific intake.

Trying to find a primary care doc who encourages diet and nutrition over pharmeseuticals?

We Answered:

Try finding a patient who will follow good nutrition upon the advice of a doctor!! Good nutrition should be followed by every one. Paying a doctor to tell you to eat healthy is like paying a doctor to tell you to always be sure to breath!! Doctors that focus on diet and nutrition are probably as useful and as common as a rubber crutch!! Doctors are most wisely used to diagnose and treat DISEASES. After all that is what their training is all about. And it takes many years of training and experience to do just that.

How to follow a diet/healthy nutrition?

We Answered:

It is called willpower, and if you wish to adhere to a diet, or anything else, you need to develop the ability to say no, and mean it.

Comparision of a gluten free diet to a normal diet regarding nutrition?

We Answered:

Gluten is a very common protein found in many cereals. The amino-acids in gluten can be easily found in animal products. In terms of nutrition, a gluten free diet is just as good as a normal diet.

I guess you know someone with Coeliac disease. The problem with this disease is not to get nutrients, but to avoid gluten as it is a hidden ingredient in many commercial foods.

The Vegetarian Society believes that a gluten-free diet is compatible even with vegetarianism. Some doctors and The Coeliac Society advise against a vegetarian or vegan diet for coeliacs because they believe it may make your diet too complicated.

In summary, the problem of a gluten free diet is not the nutrition but the difficulty to comply with.
